John Godden brings more than 20 years of experience to the table as a designer/hands on builder with projects that include the “Clearsphere” CMHC EnviroHome.  A graduate of the Bachelor of Environmental Studies at the University of Waterloo, he is heavily involved in the R2000, ENERGY STAR, EnerGuide and CMHC Healthy Home programs.  John is an active member of the Greater Toronto Home Builders Association, and co-designed, developed and facilitated the ENERGY STAR

Meet John our Energy Expert

workshops for builders and advisors in Ontario.  As an R2000 Quality Assurance professional, a member of the Building Canada team, member of HRAI and a member of the ENERGY STAR Technical Committee, John dedicates his time and experience to improving the quality of energy efficiency, air quality and building practices throughout the home building industry.  John is on the Board of Directors of the Canada Green Building Council, Toronto Chapter, the Canadian Residential Energy Service Network

(CRESNet).  In addition, John is on a national committee to establish the Canadian LEED for Homes rating system.  Currently he is working with twenty GTA builders who are constructing LEED model homes, including a project with Rodeo Homes in cooperation with the Town of Newmarket on Canada’s Greenest Subdivision – thirty-four LEED Platinum Homes.
